Paris never really slows down. Paris does not really get on. Something is happening all the time: a fashion show, a street festival, fireworks down the Seine. But what made this a particularly good year to visit is the events in Paris in 2026. When you decide to go on holidays it is always good to know what will be happening before you reserve your dates.
We've put together this list from what's actually confirmed on the 2026 calendar — not just the usual suspects, but a few that tend to fly under the radar, too. You may be a first-time visitor or have been to Paris a dozen times, but there is something here that you can base your Paris trip around.
Unless you have never been to Paris during Fashion Week, the change in the atmosphere is difficult to explain. The city does not merely host the shows but also makes up to them. You will find it in the cafes around Le Marais, on the outskirts of the Grand Palais, in the streets of Saint-Germain. The guests, the photographers, the whole energy is different.
This year's calendar has 68 physical runway shows and 31 static presentations — Chanel, Saint Laurent, and a string of newer names. Public transport on such days is not your friend. The roads surrounding the key venues are shut and a last minute search to get a taxi is a nightmare.
Reserve a chauffeur service in Paris. It is the only way to be punctual and not appear to have bumped your way through a crowd.
Roland-Garros is an event that one says they would attend someday, and they never do. Do it this year. The mud courts, the crowd cheers, even the scent of the stadium - it is an entirely new experience compared to the one on the TV screen. The 2026 draw is being discussed after the Alcaraz vs Sinner final of last year.
The stadium is located in the 16th arrondissement, which is not the worst, but not that accessible on big game days when it appears that half of Paris is heading the same way. For those who do not want to go through the Metro scramble and, instead, enjoy the build-up, a private Paris cab is justified.
Paris transforms itself into a gallery in the open air once a year. Nuit Blanche is an overnight event that takes place between dusk and sunrise, which means that museums, galleries, courtyards, bridges, and open spaces are available with their art installations, live performances, and exhibitions. Most of it is free. Locals actually plan their evenings around it, which tells you something.
The problematic thing is that the best installations are spread all over the city. You will want to go to a few of them in a night, but the night buses are very slow and crowded. It is nice to have a personal taxi service at your disposal, and then you can truly move around rather than wait half the night at a stand.
On June 21st, every year, on the summer solstice, Paris is full of live music on all sides. On street corners, on church steps, in courtyards, outside bars, in the middle of squares. Jazz next to a boulangerie, a brass band in a courtyard, electronic music spilling out of a side street. It is free, it is all over and goes on long after midnight.
The best approach is to just wander — but wander between neighbourhoods. Montmartre has a different feel from the Latin Quarter, which feels different from République. Unless you want to spend the entire evening sitting in one place, use a taxi service in Paris to move around.
Paris Jazz Festival operates throughout the summer, and this is what makes it special. The location is the Parc Floral de Vincennes - a decent garden on the eastern side of the metropolis. You take a blanket, rent out a chair, take the food from the stands and listen to the outdoor jazz of world standard. No pushing, no queues. The Jazz Festival offers one of the most casual afternoons in Paris.
The park is slightly outside the city centre, and it is not always easy to get back late after an evening set using public transport. Having a trusted car service in Paris simplifies the entire day in Paris, particularly when you are traveling with family or group of people.

July 14th is the day in the year when Paris does not fail to put on a show. The morning military parade down the Champs-Élysées is the real deal — jets overhead, cavalry, the full ceremony. The French do not do this half-heartedly. Then one day in the evening, there are fireworks that are launched out of the Trocadero, with the Eiffel tower directly behind. It is the best fireworks display in Europe, period.
Getting around that day is genuinely difficult. Roads around the main event areas close hours in advance, the Metro is standing-room-only, and taxis book up fast. If you're flying in specifically for Bastille Day, sort your Paris airport transfer before you land — you don't want to figure it out on the day.
It is a trifle but worth knowing, as 2026 will be 250 years since American independence, and considering the extent to which Paris has been linked with the history of the American Revolution - Lafayette, the Treaty of Paris, the Statue of Liberty - the city is going to celebrate it appropriately. The summer is expected to have exhibitions, cultural events, and special programming. It is a once-in-a-generation event, and Paris is one of the few cities in the world that has a genuine historical stake in it.
The banks of the Seine and the Bassin de la Villette are made into seasonal beaches every summer. Deckchairs, beach volleyball, open-air concerts, food stands, and children's activities. It sounds like a novelty, but Parisians actually use it. August in the city can feel quiet as residents leave for the coast, and Paris Plages fills that gap nicely — it gives the city a slower, more holiday-like pace that's genuinely enjoyable.
When you are out in the summer heat, whether commuting between riverbank areas, a personal Paris taxi will always be better than the overheated Metro.
This August, Paris is also hosting the European Swimming Championships, and it is actually an excellent event to attend as a sports fan. Top swimmers from across the continent, multiple disciplines, a proper competitive atmosphere — all in a city you'd want to be in anyway. If you're already planning a late-summer trip, it's worth building the timing around.
The majority of people are not aware that there is a working vineyard on Montmartre. Every October, the neighbourhood harvests it and throws a five-day festival around the occasion. Wine tastings, brass bands, parades on the streets, and grub stalls it attracts a genuine local audience. It is not at all like a tourist event, which is precisely the reason to go there. Spend the morning at the festival and the afternoon in the less busy streets around Sacre-Coeur.

The Mondial de l'Auto is being held in Paris Expo Porte de Versailles after an absence, and the edition promises to be important. Electric cars, hydrogen ideas, and fresh model unveils by the key manufacturers - it is already emerging as one of the largest automotive shows of the year in Europe. The scale is impressive, even though you may not be a car enthusiast.
The venue is large and gets very busy during peak hours. A chauffeur service that will collect you at the door at the end of the day will save much time. The place outside is a mess when the passers-by appear.
Paris does Christmas well. The Champs-Élysées market receives the greatest attention, but frankly, the ones at Montmartre, at La Defence, and around Notre-Dame, all quite restored and all so beautiful, are equally good and much less jammed. Mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, homemade gifts, and decent food stands. The lights are hung down the principal streets in the city, and it really appears to be how Christmas ought to appear.
If you're arriving during the holiday period, getting your airport transfer sorted in advance is important. CDG is busy enough at the best of times — in December, it's a different level. A personal airport-hotel transfer will ensure you do not begin the journey with a headache.
July 14th, Bastille Day, is likely to be the largest single day of the Paris calendar - the Champs-Elysees procession and Eiffel Tower fireworks are attended by enormous crowds of people representing different countries in the world. The other major international attraction is the Paris Fashion Week in March, especially when one belongs to the fashion industry.
Several key events are absolutely free. Free live music is happening throughout the city during Fete de la Musique (June 21). Nuit Blanche (June 6) is free to wander. The fireworks are free, and so are the Bastille Day celebrations. Paris Plages is a free event that takes place throughout the summer. Fete des Vendanges parade in Montmartre is also free to observe.
Late spring (May-June) is difficult to beat, the French Open, Fete de la Musique, Jazz Festival, and the weather is at its best without peak August crowds. July is excellent if you would like to attend Bastille Day or Paris Plages. October is also less busy, and it has 3 good events, including Vendanges de Montmartre, Nuit Blanche, and the Motor Show.
During major events, public transport gets very crowded and roads near venues often close early. Booking a private chauffeur service or cab service in Paris is the most reliable option — especially if you're arriving from the airport or need to reach a specific venue at a set time. Paris Eagle Cab operates across all Paris events and airports year-round.
Paris has events running through every month of 2026 — from fashion and sport in the spring to harvest festivals in October and Christmas markets into the new year. Whatever brings you here, the city has something going on worth seeing.
If you need a reliable way to get around — airport transfers, getting to venues, or just moving between parts of the city without the Metro — Paris Eagle Cab is here. Our drivers know the city well, and we handle the logistics so you don't have to think about them.
