QUICK QUOTE - BOOK YOUR RIDE
Every December the same scene plays out at Charles de Gaulle. Families come off long flights with winter coats, pushchairs and bags full of gifts, then spend an hour working out how to reach the park. If you are planning a Disneyland Paris Christmas trip, your airport transfer is one of the few things worth sorting out early. Here is when to book it, why December is different, and what to check before you pay.
The Christmas season at the resort usually runs from early November to early January. The busiest days fall around school holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year. Flights fill up, hotels fill up, and so do drivers’ schedules.
Private Disneyland transfer companies have a fixed number of vehicles and drivers. When hundreds of families land on the same weekend, cars run out, especially larger vans for groups. Late bookings then cost more or can’t be made at all.
Winter weather adds to it. Fog, rain, and the occasional frost can slow the roads out of Paris. A pre-booked chauffeur who tracks your flight copes with a delay far better than a taxi queue at 11 pm.
The short answer: book your Disneyland Paris airport transfer as soon as your flights are confirmed. A rough guide:
• Peak dates (mid-December to early January): book 4 to 8 weeks ahead.
• Early season (November to early December): 2 to 4 weeks is usually enough.
• Last-minute (under a week): sometimes possible, but you will have little choice of vehicle.
Booking early rarely costs you anything extra. Most reputable companies let you amend or cancel within a set window, so read the terms and keep your confirmation email.
If you travel in a group of five or more, or with several large suitcases, book even earlier. Minivans are the first vehicles to go.
CDG is about 35 km from the resort. By road, the journey normally takes 35 to 45 minutes. It can stretch to an hour or more during rush hour or in bad weather.
There are public transport options. A direct TGV runs from the CDG station to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, and the RER is another route. They work well for light travellers. With children, a pushchair and luggage, though, changing platforms in winter is tiring, and services thin out late in the evening.
A private CDG to Disney transfer works differently. The driver meets you in the arrivals hall, helps with your bags, and takes you straight to your hotel door. You skip ticket machines, platform changes, and the cold walk at the end. After a long flight with young children, that is often worth it.
If your flight lands at Orly, the distance is longer, so allow more time and book the same way.
A few small details make a big difference in December.
The driver can then track your arrival and adjust if you land early or late.
Winter coats and boots take up room. Tell the company how many bags you have so the right vehicle is sent.
French rules require children to be properly restrained, and seats are not always available on the day.
Disney hotels and partner hotels around the resort have different drop-off points. Send the exact name to avoid confusion.
Departure day can be hectic, and finding a ride back at short notice is harder than booking both ways at once. Plan to leave the resort roughly four hours before an international flight so you have time for traffic and airport queues.
If you land after 9 pm, a pre-arranged driver is much easier than looking for transport while the children are tired.
Paris Eagle Cab arranges private airport transfers from Paris airports and Disneyland Paris. Booking is simple:
• Choose your pick-up airport and drop-off hotel.
• Enter your date, flight number and number of passengers.
• Add child seats or a return journey if you need them.
• Check the full price and the cancellation terms before you confirm.
Whichever company you use, ask for the full price upfront, including luggage and extras, so there are no surprises at the end of the ride.
Ready to reserve? You can book your Disneyland Paris airport transfer online and get your Christmas arrival sorted before the holiday rush begins.
About 35 km. The drive normally takes 35 to 45 minutes, longer in heavy traffic.
The train is cheaper for light travellers. A private transfer is easier with children, pushchairs or a lot of luggage, and it takes you directly to your hotel.
Christmas at the resort is a lot of fun, and a calm arrival helps you enjoy it. Book your Disneyland transfer once your flights are fixed, share accurate flight and hotel details, and add a return trip. After that, all you have to think about is the parade and the lights.
